The number of people suffering from at least moderate depression and anxiety has increased in the Czech Republic during the coronavirus epidemic, according to a study conducted by four researchers from the Institute for Democracy and Economic Analysis (IDEA). At the beginning of the epidemic, one-fifth of adults in the Czech Republic had symptoms of depression, which was roughly three times more than before the state of emergency. The situation had a worse impact on women, young people and those who saw a significant decline in their income.
