Security licences for the use of drones and unmanned aerial vehicles won't be needed by all of their users and such a requirement also wasn't in place in the past, the Defence Ministry stated on Monday. According to ministry spokesperson Danka Capakova, the information about licences was incorrectly interpreted. "The industrial security confirmation is needed only with respect to aerial photography as defined by law. Security licenses for drone users might be needed only in case the drones are utilised for aerial photography under the Geodesy and Cartography Act," said Capakova, adding that photos and videos taken by drones for a movie, advertisement or visualisation don't fall into the category requiring the license.
