The Czech Defence Ministry will spend at least 61 billion crowns on investments until 2021, including the purchase of infantry tracked combat vehicles, multipurpose helicopters and mobile radars due this year, Minister Lubomir Metnar (for ANO) and Chief-of-Staff Ales Opata said today. Furthermore, a tender for the purchase of new off-roads will be put up, they told journalists. The ministry proposed armament purchases worth 70 billion crowns to the cabinet last year, when contracts worth some ten billion were signed, Metnar said.
