February 15th, 2019
A new vote for candidates for the Constitutional Court will take place at the March parliamentary session, Parliamentary Chair Andrej Danko (Slovak National Party/SNS) has stated at a press conference in Parliament. According to Danko, the vote should be by secret ballot as the previous two public votes have failed and at least some candidates should be elected. Candidates for the election can be proposed until 4pm on March 5. The vote should take place at the session starting on March 26. Danko stated that the coalition should hold talks later in February and that he will endeavour to find a compromise and candidates the coalition will agree on.
