The number of Czechs sharing the view that it is up to the state to provide for their welfare has been diminishing in the past years, but still the view is held by their majority, according to a poll conducted by the CVVM polling institute at the end of last year and released today. The proportion of those believing that the government does not provide sufficient care for Czechs' social situation and who would like the welfare system to be enlarged is gradually falling.
