The Omnipol firm won the tender for a small plane for the transport of Czech constitutional officials as it offered the Bombardier Global 5000 aircraft for a price lower than those set by the two other bidders, Defence Ministry spokesman Jan Pejsek told today's daily Lidove noviny (LN). "But the tender has not ended yet because one of the unsuccessful bidders appealed," Pejsek said. The Swiss firm STM Aircraft challenged the result of the tender, the price of which was estimated at 661 million crowns plus VAT. The third bidder is Glomex MS, a firm that has been servicing the Czech military's Airbus A-319 and Jak-40 aircraft.
