The Czech state has sold the functionalist villa in Prague's district of Barrandov that was built in 1932 for Milos Havel, uncle of late Czech president Vaclav Havel, news portal Hlidaci pes said on Tuesday. The villa was sold in an auction for 21.9 million crowns (EUR 875,000) late last week. It was designed by architect Max Urban who also designed the nearby Barrandov Terraces complex of buildings and the Barrandov Studios, one of the largest film studios in Europe, for the media businessman and film producer Milos Havel in the late 1920s and early 1930s.
