Czech, Slovak interior ministers debate migration, hybrid threats

November 11th, 2019

The Czech and Slovak interior ministers, Jan Hamacek and Denisa Sakova, discussed migration, joint tackling hybrid threats and a new police cooperation deal at a meeting of both countries' governments today, the Czech Interior Ministry has said in a press release. They agreed on the necessity to find a new solution to the European migration and asylum policy. The EU's approach to migrants should be based on strengthening cooperation with the refugees' countries of origin and the transit countries through which they are getting to the target ones, both ministers agreed, they said.
