The daily rise in the new Covid-19 cases exceeded 2,000 for the first time in the Czech Republic on Wednesday, reaching 2,139, which was 464 more than on Tuesday, according to the data released by the Health Ministry. Since the epidemic outbreak in the Czech Republic on March 1, 41,032 people have been infected with the novel coronavirus, of whom almost three-fifths have recovered. The number of active infections stands at 17,619 and so far 482 coronavirus patients have died.
