Czech Republic new Covid-19 cases down significantly from a week ago

Further 9,016 coronavirus cases were confirmed in the Czech Republic on Tuesday, which was some 3,000 more than on Monday, but about 3,000 fewer than a week ago, while more than 147,000 are currently infected, according to data released by the Health Ministry. The Covid-related death toll has increased by 60 since Monday. Since the epidemic outbreak in the country on March 1, 5,323 patients with the novel coronavirus have died in Czechia. The number of active infections stands at 147,084, most of whom have had a mild case of the disease.
