The Czech Republic and Austria agree that the European Union's spending on administration must shrink in the years to come, Czech state secretary for European affairs Milena Hrdinkova and Austrian Minister for the EU Karoline Edtstadler said after their meeting focusing on the EU's draft 2021-2027 budget on Tuesday. The draft is to be discussed by the EU special summit on February 20. Hrdinkova said she is sceptical as to whether a final agreement on it may be reached.
