The Czech Republic is more active than before in the talks on the reform of the EU's asylum system, Interior Minister Lubomir Metnar told reporters on Thursday. The Czech Republic is discussing it both in a series of bilateral meetings with partners and with the current Bulgarian EU presidency, Metnar said. Bulgaria is trying to arrive at an acceptable compromise version of the reform of the Dublin system. The European Commission first proposed the change back in May 2016. However, EU members have been negotiating about it unsuccessfully, although they reached agreements on a number of issues.
