Czech regional governor accused of bribery

The Czech police on Tuesday accused deputy and Central Bohemia governor David Rath (Social Democrats, CSSD) of bribe taking after he was detained with seven million crowns on him, Usti regional state attorney Lenka Bradacova said. She said detectives have started prosecuting another seven people detained with him on suspicion of harming EU interests, bribery and negotiating advantages in public procurement.
