The first round of a direct presidential election in the Czech Republic, the second one in the country's history, started at 2pm on Friday. Like five years ago, voters can choose from nine candidates, including the incumbent President Milos Zeman. Polling stations will close at 10pm on Friday. The election will continue from 8am till 2pm on Saturday. A possible second round will be held two weeks later.
