Czech police chief discusses security with Chinese ambassador

Czech police chief Jan Svejdar met Chinese ambassador Zhang Jianmin on Wednesday to discuss the safety of Chinese tourists visiting the Czech Republic and cooperation in matters of preventing terrorism, Svejdar wrote on Twitter. "The ambassador was mainly interested in the security of Chinese tourists and implementing measures against terrorism. We agreed on cooperating and sharing information," Svejdar said. His spokeswoman Katerina Rendlova said it was not unusual for the police chief to meet other countries' ambassadors, adding that the meeting had been initiated by the ambassador.
