Czech police arrest foreign smugglers with 8.4 kg of cocaine

Three members of a foreign drug gang arrested recently by Czech police for cocaine smuggling face up to 12 years in prison, Barbora Kudlackova, spokeswoman for the anti-drug squad, told CTK on Thursday. Another two members of the gang were arrested by Serbian police. Investigators believe the organised group could have been importing the drug from South America via the Netherlands into other EU countries. Police took two men into custody shortly after a hand-over of four bricks of pressed cocaine. Each weighed at least one kilogram and contained 80-percent cocaine.
