Czech Egyptologists revealed five new burial shafts in the tomb of the ancient high official Ti in Egypt in January, Czech Institute of Egyptology director Miroslav Barta, who headed the four-week expedition that has returned from Saqqara, told today's daily Mlada fronta Dnes (MfD). "Three of the shafts were not completed, one led to an empty burial chamber and one to a burial chamber with a robbed but huge and wonderfully made limestone sarcophagus," Barta said about the finds in the Saqqara necropolis.
