Czech deputy minister compares Roma to jellyfish in Facebook post

Czech Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Karel Novotny has written a Facebook post comparing Roma people to jellyfish, saying that they were "a nuisance, good for nothing," news portal Aktualne.cz reported on Thursday. Novotny is running for the Social Democrats (CSSD) in the Usti Region in the October general election. Industry and Trade Minister Jiri Havlicek (CSSD), who called the post "unacceptable", said he would discuss the matter with Novotny on Friday before deciding on his next steps.
