The Czech Defence Ministry has excluded all three participants in the tender for the purchase of a small plane, with two not fulfilling the requirements and one saying the model they offered is no longer available, the ministry's spokesman Jan Pejsek told CTK on Tuesday. The third participant in the tender asked to be able to offer a different plane, but the law does not allow such a shift in the selection process to take place. The ministry will thus have to cancel the current tender. Originally, the ministry said it was ready to pay roughly 661 million crowns (EUR 26.3m) without VAT for the plane. The first tender for a small plane for the transport of Czech senior elected officials was announced last spring, but only a single offer was made which did not fulfill the ministry's prerequisites.
