Czech Culture Minister Lubomir Zaoralek wants to make museums and galleries more attractive by making entrance fees cheaper, but admits that the financing of these institutions will be problematic, the daily Lidove noviny (LN) reported on Friday. "In London or Washington, you can visit state institutions with splendid things. It is unbelievable what they can offer and it is for free," Zaoralek told the paper. He explained that he wants to come up with a proposal for how to realise his plan before the 2021 parliamentary election. "However, it is not probable that I will be able to change all state institutions to implement a free entry regime all at once, as we could never pay for that," he said.
