Czech court convicts international group of drug traffickers

The Liberec Regional Court found seven people guilty in the case of extensive drug production mainly for the Swedish market and meted out prison sentences of up to 16 years for the major traffickers on Friday. One of the eight suspects was acquitted. The main purchasers of the amphetamine drug were given 13 and 16 years behind bars, while the drug producer and distributor was sentenced to seven years. They all faced up to 18 years in prison if convicted.
