The Czech government took a neutral stance on the ban on covering the face or its parts in public places, proposed by the Freedom and Direct Democracy (SPD) lawmakers, Justice Minister Jan Knezinek (for ANO) told journalists after a cabinet meeting on Wednesday. He said the ANO and Social Democrat (CSSD) cabinet decided on this after a long debate today. "A detailed serious debate on it is expected to be held in parliament," he added.
