Czech cabinet approves system of support for social, affordable housing

Czech towns can build social housing using state subsidies and loans, based on a directive the cabinet approved on Monday, earmarking one billion crowns for this purpose for this year, the Regional Development Ministry said in a press release. The subsidies and loans should be drawn within the newly launched Construction programme operated by the State Housing Development Fund.
