Czech army may be more involved in Afghanistan, Iraq - chief of staff

The Czech Republic's involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq will increase next year when some 650 soldiers may be deployed there if parliament approves the mission, Chief-of-Staff Josef Becvar said at a meeting of the military command on Tuesday. Becvar also sharply criticised the considerable decrease in defence spending in the past.
