The special parliamentary session initiated by the opposition Smer-SD party is unlikely to take place, as a number of coalition representatives see no reason to hold it. The special session is scheduled for Wednesday. The opposition wants parliament to adopt a resolution that would force the government to commit itself to presenting a set of immediate legislative measures aimed at cushioning the negative effects of the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic at the session. Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) caucus head Anna Zemanova told TASR on Tuesday that the coalition does not plan to pass the session's agenda.
