The Civic Coalition (KO), a group of opposition parties, will bring together both conservatives and left-wingers, Grzegorz Schetyna, the leader of the coalition's core party, the centrist Civic Platform (PO), said during a KO programme forum on Friday. KO's congress is being held in Warsaw's Palace of Culture and Science on Friday and Saturday. The agrarian Polish People's Party (PSL), which was PO's junior coalition partner in the 2007-2011 and 2011-2015 governments, is unlikely to join KO this time, after what it said was the initiative's a failure in May's European Parliament election. PSL, which stresses its adherence to traditional values, also refuses to be in the same group with left-wing and liberal parties.
