January 25th, 2019
The Czech Chamber of Deputies observed International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which is celebrated on January 27, and passed a resolution defining antisemitism at its session today. "Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews," said the definition, which is not legally binding. "Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities," the definition said. In May 2016, the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) drew up and passed the definition of antisemitism.
