The Government disagrees with the UN Global Compact for Migration and at the same time hasn't approved any Slovak representative to take part in the upcoming summit on migration in Marrakesh, Morocco, stated Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) after the Cabinet session on Wednesday. "The next Cabinet session will take place only after the Marrakesh [summit], which means that we have no time to submit to the Government a proposal for a delegation and for Slovakia's participation in Marrakesh. That means that the Government didn't approve anyone's participation in the Marrakesh summit; neither cost reimbursement nor an official mandate for it," said Pellegrini, adding that the whole issue has thus been concluded by the Cabinet decision.
