Budapest ready to host junior world championships in 2017, says PM

Hungary is prepared to organise the junior world swimming championships in 2017 if it wins the right to host the 2021 world championships in swimming, water polo, diving, synchronised swimming, open swimming and cliff diving, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Friday. Meeting Julio Maglione, president of the world swimming federation FINA, Orban said that a new swimming-pool complex suitable for both events would be completed in time. FINA will select the organiser of the 2021 world championships in Barcelona on July 19.
