Bratislava coronavirus warning system unique in C Europe

The current situation and risks stemming from the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in Bratislava is being monitored by a system called COVID Semaphore, which determines, based on an analysis of official epidemiological data, what stage of the outbreak Bratislava is in and what measures, if any, are needed, TASR learnt on Friday. "The COVID Semaphore puts us on top among global metropolises. We are the only city in the whole Central and Eastern Europe, to calculate the effective reproduction number R based on epidemiological data," Bratislava City epidemiologist and system architect Martin Pavelka said.
