A replica of a Junkers F13 plane, in whose crash the Zlin-based shoe empire founder Tomas Bata died in 1932, arrived today in the town's newly reconstructed Tomas Bata Memorial and will be shown to visitors as of Monday, the Memorial head Jana Valkova has told media. The replica has been produced for the reconstructed memorial by the Czech TechProAviation company. Born in Zlin in 1876, Bata died aboard a Junkers F13 that crashed shortly after taking off from the airfield in Otrokovice near Zlin.
