Banks respect Supreme Court ruling but may take further action

VUB, SLSP and CSOB banks disagree with but respect a Supreme Court ruling that upholds an Anti-monopoly Office (NKU) decision according to which the three banks created a cartel directed against a company called AKCENTA CZ. SLSP has stated that it will consider further measures after it receives the decision in writing. VUB bank spokesperson Alena Walterova said that while the bank respects the verdict, it can agree neither with the decision nor its reasoning. CSOB bank spokesperson Zuzana Eliasova echoed the sentiments of the other two banks.
