According to analysts, the Slovak labour market is likely to cool down, and new jobs might be created at a slower rate than in recent years. The rate of unemployment might also grow, especially in the less-developed regions of Slovakia. The Labour Ministry expects a deceleration on the labour market as well. The unemployment rate in January rose in month-to-month terms to reach 5.26 percent, but it dropped year on year.
