After a protest by the Auschwitz State Memorial, Amazon has removed merchandise bearing images of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Nazi German death camp, including Christmas ornaments and a mouse pad. The Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum appealed on Twitter on Sunday to Amazon to remove the merchandise, having described the products as "disturbing and disrespectful." Having removed the merchandise, Amazon said in a statement on Monday that, "all sellers must follow our selling guidelines and those who do not will be removed." PAP was told by a US company representative that the merchandise was no longer available on its website.
