A U.S. B-52 strategic bomber and five F-16 fighters will cross the Czech skies within the 20th Days of NATO on Saturday, Tomas Maruscak, from the General Staff, said today, adding that the B-52 will appear after a 15-hour uninterrupted flight from its home base in Louisiana, the USA. In total, the mission of the B-52, a bomber than can carry nuclear weapons if needed, will last 30 hours without any stop over, as the plane will be refuelled in the air, Maruscak told CTK.
